# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • The honey-lime dressing is so easy to whisk up, it almost feels like cheating, but tastes far from it.
  • Every bowlful is packed with juicy fruit, a pop of herbs, and a satisfying bit of crunch—no oven or stove required.
02 -
  • Letting the salad sit too long makes the fruit watery—learned that after a soggy attempt left me with a bowl of juice.
  • Tearing the herbs by hand, instead of chopping, keeps their flavors intact and perfume in every bite.
03 -
  • Choose ripe but not mushy fruit—the difference between refreshing and a soggy letdown is in the ripeness.
  • A splash of extra lime at the end can save the day if the fruit is very sweet.
