# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • It practically cooks itself while you do literally anything else.
  • The beef becomes so tender it falls apart with just a fork.
  • Cleanup is minimal because everything happens in one pot.
  • Leftovers taste even better the next day when the flavors have settled in.
02 -
  • Dont cut the vegetables too small or theyll turn to mush before the beef is tender.
  • If your sauce is too thin, mix cornstarch with cold water and stir it in during the last 30 minutes to thicken.
  • Always brown the beef if you have time, the flavor difference is noticeable.
03 -
  • Use a six quart slow cooker to give everything enough room to cook evenly.
  • Add a splash of red wine with the broth for an extra layer of depth.
  • If youre short on time, skip browning the beef and just toss everything in, itll still be delicious.
