- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the halal ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon for approximately 5 to 6 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even heating.
- Add the condensed mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix thoroughly and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Spread the meat and vegetable mixture evenly in a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the meat mixture.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single, even layer on top of the cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the tater tots. Bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is completely melted.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.
