01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside near your dipping station.
02 - Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each, until completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler over gentle heat, stirring constantly until melted.
03 - Insert a skewer or toothpick into the bottom of each Peep to create a handle for easier dipping. Leave this step out if you prefer using forks or dipping tools.
04 - Holding the skewer or using a fork, fully submerge each Peep into the melted chocolate. Lift and let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl for a few seconds.
05 - Place the chocolate-coated Peeps on the prepared baking sheet. While the chocolate is still wet, immediately sprinkle with decorations of your choice.
06 - Let the chocolate set at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes. For faster results, refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes until firm to the touch.
07 - Remove any skewers or toothpicks carefully. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for later enjoyment.
